I like it.
Lotsa guys building cobra kit cars are using them. I bought the tko 600 before the tkx came out. The tkx has better syncros and better high rpm shifting.

It's a great transmission. What are your plans for your car? Did you consider beefing up the internals on your TR-3650?
I'm going to keep the 3650, look into beefing it up..

The 3650 is finally getting some real support. You can even upgrade your 5th gear to a .68 ratio.
Doesn't sound like much but it may prevent some downshifting in certain situations.
Hanlon isn't taking orders for rebuilds right now but they'll sell you the parts.

I second Pro-Motion for a built 3650. I’ve had mine since 2009 and it’s held up amazingly to abuse.
I'm with you. I bought my TKO-600 right before the TKX came out. However, I had American Powertrain upgrade all my internals (I have carbon fiber syncros in mine) and my TKO-600 works GREAT! Shifts like butter at all RPMs.
I even asked the American Powertrain rep if I should sell my TKO and buy a TKX from them and he said no. He said I have one of the better TKO-600's out there with my upgrades.
Smart move IMO.
