Well, we tied with Idaho (32nd), Michigan (33rd) and Nebraska (34th) at 40 out of 50 -- Ohio just had the bad luck to come in last in the alphabet among those states.

Also, I seriously wonder how consistent and accurate this evaluation is. The evaluation says Ohio does not have a magazine capacity limit, but, we do and that number is 30. AND, how the hell does Nebraska place ahead of Ohio when Nebraska requires you to HAVE A PERMIT TO BUY A FREAKIN' HANDGUN?!?! That is incredibly restrictive and that alone should put Nebraska close to the bottom.

Due to the inconsistencies, I won't put a lot of stock in this ranking system.

I also wondered about the inconsistencies and accuracy of the ranks.

Technically speaking, Ohio does not have a pure magazine capacity limit. I can have a 100 round mag if I want, but that mag can never be inserted into a gun designed to accept it. After all, that mag combined with a semi-auto actually creates an "automatic firearm" according to the ORC. That's really one of the few stupid gun laws we have.

AZ being #1 don't surprise me at all.

No one bats an eye here if you open carry. I've taken my car to different car washes and taken my daily carry out of my glove within full view of people, and no one visibly cared.

I can only imagine how people would react to that in one of these liberal states/cities. They'd probably call SWAT on my ass.

I cannot believe AZ was #1. They do not recognize WV's CCW permits. They are in a group of few that do not. Hard to believe.
You don't need a permit to conceal carry in Arizona. As far as I can tell from the ARS you don't need to be a resident to do so either.

Maryland's 43rd, not shocked, we have a leftist socialist Democrat for a Governor, we've been run by one party Democratic rule for 40+ years. Not shocked either that the top 10 worst states are all Blue states run by Democrat liberals.

After reading the synopsis for both, I fail to see how Michigan is rated 33rd, while Wisconsin is 25th?:bored:

MS is 18th and 6th in gun ownership.

Just passed open carry without a permit so I imagine we will be moving on up that list next year.
