Fit a Wilson Combat "Bulletproof" thumb safety on a Springfield 1911 yesterday. And by "fit", I mean it dropped in. First time I ever had anything "drop in" on a 1911 that didn't require fitting.

The ergos on this particular Wilson thumb safety are just far more comfortable than any others I've used, especially if you keep your thumb mashed on top of the safety to help manage recoil, like Ken Hackathorn teaches.

Yep that is one reason I love shooting guns with frame safeties. With your thumb up there it really lets you get a tight and high grip on the firearm. After shooting thousands of rounds through my CZ Cuztom, my 1911's, Sig Legion SAO, and X-calibur Grand Power, it becomes second nature. I can tell a difference when I pick up any of my Beretta's with their slide mounted safeties (which I don't car for). I can also tell the difference with some of my striker fired guns, like my P320RX. Just doesn't feel like I am getting my hand as high as I could without my thumb up there for support. However, my Steyr L9A1 has excellent grip ergos for a high and tight grip. Love the gun, just don't care for the grip angle.

Those are darn good groups at 15 yards.
Thanks! Standing offhand too, not from a bench. I need to get some bags or something so I can try some bench shooting.

I was comparing the X-calibur to my favorite gun, my CZ Custom Shadow Target. Here are some 15 yard off hand groups with that one:

This is my best offhand 15 yard group ever. This is my CZ vs the Wilson Combat Brig Tac. There was no wind at all that day. Usually the wind is pretty high at my range which really moves the torso around when standing and trying to shoot offhand lol

What's your impressions of the Wilson Combat Brig Tac? I've been wanting one.

I just got into Beretta's here in the last 8 months. I have 2100 rounds through my Brig Tac. I love the gun and would recommend it. However, I just picked up the Vertec and I have to say, I think I prefer it. It really comes down to the grip. I have medium sized hands and the smaller Vertec grip works better for me. I also tend to shoot it better even though I only have 100 rounds through it so far.

Here is offhand 10 yard group, 5 rounds comparison

I would also like to say that I really like the Cougar. Great little shooter. It has a rotating barrel design just like the X-calibur. It feels great in my hands too. I can shoot it pretty fast while staying relatively accurate. I was pretty surprised. Not crazy about the plain sights, and don't much care for the slide safety, but I may just change it (and my Vertec) to a G series de-cocker like my Wilson Brig Tac.

Groups below are at 10 yards offhand, 10 rds. Vertec group all the way left and the other two are with the Cougar.

This is on my list to own. The tavor is probably my next purchase then one of these.

Tavor is a beast. It's the only rifle I hsve picked up, that when slung properly, feels like it can support itself. It takes very little from the operator to manipulate it which is a great feeling. Im trying to talk my buddy into trading me for his since he has two already.

I do love my Tavor. Svtfocus2cobra is right. You can pretty much one handed shoot it. I have the the Manticore curved buttpad, and it helps with that even more. Still need to pick up a drop in trigger for it though.

Just did this last Friday. I didn’t mind it actually. Shot a friend of mines. Was looking at the Gen 4’s found them for a good price. But I like the grip better on the Gen. 5.

Haven’t been on in awhile but thought I’d add my current build.
11.5 FN CHF CL 1:7 5.56 NATO barrel, vltor clamp on gas block, polished FCG, ST-T2 buffer, Gearheadworks Tailhook MOD 2 five position adjustable polymer brace, Seekins MCSR V2 keymod 10” rail, PSA stealth upper, PSA lower, and will be getting a standard birdcage to mate my GA M4SDK to. Optics are an aimpoint micro T1 on a larue lower 1/3 mount as well as an aimpoint 3x magnifier on an American Defense swivel mount.

I've heard that complaint a few times but luckily it's been exactly inconsequential for me. I have smaller hands though. Going to definitely let a buddy know about the base plates though.
I love shooting the 5.7 and hope to get one one day. Just wish ammo was a bit cheaper

I sold one of my 2 ARs and ordered this last month. They had an introductory price of 799. Add the upgraded rail and shipping and it came just over 1,000 shipped.

I think it's going to be a blast. Will be my first tax stamp item

It's by far my favorite gun. PSA generally has sales pretty regularly for the AE and SS197. Makes it way more affordable.

You don't see those everyday that's for sure.

I finally got the black controls for my USG today. Took a bit of time to get everything back together but I do love the end results!

I have a Cajun'ized CZ-75 Phantom that immediately became my favorite pistol. It is honestly is just so stupid easy to shoot that it makes it hard to miss. It is just in a different league than my glocks, kimbers, sigs, rugers, smiths, etc.
