Figured I’d show some love to this tank. Want to talk about a gun that literally launches spent casings down 7-8 benches away lol

It’s a century arms c308. It’s basically a G3 copy. I picked it up last year, found out PTR industries has been assembling these for century.

Looks sharp. Judging from the picture, they did a pretty good job. She must be a blast to shoot.

At first I thought it was a legit 41 from the 60's/70's, but didn't see the proper markings, which is what had me scratching my head.

I love it, I’ve had zero issues with it shooting anything from good brass down to crap steel case. I got such a sick deal on it on I couldn’t say no.

Here's a pic of the one the actual PTR version that I ended up buying... They did an excellent job reproducing these old work horses!

A few pages back you will see my G3 I painted. If you want you can find the front rail kit on ebay for that gun for about 50 dollars.

I am flabbergasted at the price of SCAR H's right now. Back in 2012, I paid $2250 and it came with 10 FN mags from the dealer.

Everywhere I look they are +3k.

Damn, didnt know they went up that much now. When I last saw them they were like $2300 I think which is about what my Galil cost. Only reason I went with the Galil is because I wanted an AK based rifle.

And that is why i haven’t bought one and probably never will. I can’t stomach 3K on the rifle then it needs a nice optic still also.

Yeah, that and then put an Elcan Spectre on it and you have a $5500 rifle without any other mods. That's insane lol

I s

I say again, life is too short for cheap stuff. Yeah, I could build 8 ARs for the cost of this.

I agree! One day Im just going to have an absolutely stupid rifle like that and loaded out with the baddest optics and accessories money can buy.

I already have that in my Benelli M4. My good friend who passed away built it back when they were first offered to the public I guess. At that time parts were not cheap and hard to find, like the adjustable buttstock and extended tube (I remember him saying it cost him a grand for the buttstock alone!). I think with everything including the gun itself it is in the $4k range, maybe $5k. I always wanted to buy it from him but it was his baby and he wasn't letting it go understandably. After he passed his wife was just going to sell it off to whoever and we couldn't stand the thought of his favorite gun in his collection going off to someone in his circle he probably didnt like, just knowing him and comments he made. So I called his wife and told her I was bringing her $2k cash right now and I took it as quick as I could. It seems inconsiderate and shallow to do that right after he died, but it was the only thing of his that I wanted to keep out of respect and rememberance, and most everyone in our circle was happy that we got a hold of his collection before someone else did.

Edit: Sorry, pretty buzzed and realize I am rambling lol
