Since we now know that the ZL1 is no longer a competitor for the 13 GT500 what is?

Some ideas:
GT500 vs C6 Z06
GT500 vs 997TT
GT500 vs GT Speed(Bentley)
GT500 vs SL65
GT500 vs M6
GT500 vs .....?

The GT500 for 13 is on the streets. You are correct there are not many out there yet, but they are roaming free!

The new m5 and e63 are both monsters that can be modded easily just like the GT500!

Why do you think he made the thread? The cars are out and are being tested with numbers popping up everywhere starting last night. Magazines running mid 11s so what do you think good drivers are going to achieve? There's going to be some unbelievable track times coming from these cars in private hands.

So please explain what the difference will be between a 13 Zl1 and a 12Zl1 ?
Gm decided on the model year release and how to market it. It being a 12 has no bearing at all.

Its been basically cancelled out because its a toss up with a 11 or 12 GT500. If you look at the REAL numbers and the traps its quite obvious. Hell, its a toss up with a Boss with a set of tires....So yeah....highly doubt the Zl1(stock) will be any real threat, unless of course your drinking the kool-aid.

2013 Gt500 vs a TVS equipped 2008-2012 should be fun providing it has the supporting mods. Not much else out there that's factory manufactured that'll give it a hard time. Obviously the GTR but it's not even close to being in the same league.

Keep in mind the ZL1 Camaros are not pushing huge boost from the factory. They can easily add 5#s/tune and gain another 100hp. They are much more detuned from the factory then the new GT500 seems to be.

Correct, the factory level of boost is the same as the 2012 GT500. Hence, why they perform alike. Even though the fanbois insisted it would be better than the 2013. However, the stock performance is on par with the 2012.

The 2013 GT500 opened up a can of whoop ass on GM.
