How can the R with more down force and more front grip have a higher trap speed than the gt350?

Much lighter wheels, curb weight down by 90-130lbs., shorter tires creating a lower final drive, and possibly not much harm done from the downforce until close to the end of the 1/4 mile. All those seem to make sense to me.

Not to mention if it's like Mustangs past, you have to be hauling serious ass before it comes into play. The '10 - '14 GT500's little gurney flap lip thingy generates a whopping 89 pounds of rear downforce.

At 180MPH.

No, I didn't just make that up.

The 350r's aero produces more downforce than a 2015 911 gt3, it's in the hundreds of pounds range, I believe over 300lbs total, with the rear spoiler accounting for about 175 of those, and the side skirts, and front splitter making up the remainder.

Don't quote or shoot me over the numbers, I honestly can't remember. It might actually be like 430lbs of downforce.

I believe the numbers I read were at 125mph. Some article somewhere explained in depth what the aero helped accomplish. I'd Google but bored.

Now that you mention it, I think you're right. I don't know about the actual pounds of downforce, but I do remember it being stated somewhere that it makes more downforce than the 991 GT3 and does happen somewhere around the 125MPH mark.

I love the new gt350 but having just come out of a C6z I can tell everyone that would NOT be a close race. A good race would be a stock 13/14 Shelby vs a stock C6Z. And from a roll I would give the c6z several lengths against the Shelby. From everything i'm reading the GT350 is not a drag race car anyways.

In a lot of YouTube videos, trinity's put between 1-3 cars on c6z's from a roll.

A gt350 will die a similar death to a c6z from a 40 roll to 130.

A 60-160 is re c6z's race all day, at least 5+ car lengths, maybe more vs a gt350.

The gt350/r do best from 40-130.

So apparently a stock LSA CTS-V is about as fast as a C6Z.

It's close. The z is probably a little faster on a 60-160, but they are likely very close on a 40-130.

The gt350 died a respectable death in this race. It looks to be a 60 roll.

Gt350's hit best from 40-130. 5th gear is very tall, 6th is a gas mileage gear.

Throw some 4.10's in the gt350 and then it will really pick up some acceleration as well basically everywhere upto 175mph.

What? A stock LSA V will get freight trained by a stock c6Z. At any speed. LSA V's are 115-118mph cars, 120 at best in mineshaft air. Ive heard it all.

Case in point.

I watched the original video and it's a 2012, 1st I saw it, I thought it was a 2015 with 650hp.

Watching it the second time, that 2012 v is not stock.

My turbo cobra rapes a stock z off my wastegates with about 600whp. So ****ing what? It's a stock z06 vs a modded cobra.

I have a modded car because I like to win. That doesn't mean the stock cars I can beat are slow.

This guy had a stock gt350 against a Cai/catback cts-v.

Now I've seen it all, oh wait, I haven't. I've seen a modded ctsv thats possibly even pullied race a stock gt350.

Seriously.
