Both stock cars. Z06 spins in one of the videos

Didn't honestly expect the car to beat the ls7 Vette. But it held its ground a lot better than I expected. Didn't think it would even be next to the z06 whatsoever

Apologize for not so great video but it's good enough to see what's happening

Impressive car

Impressive car

Pretty impressive showing for the GT350 considering it's weight disadvantage.

Low 11s @ 124 mph car vs low 12s @ 117 mph car having a close race, seems legit!

Because 1/4 performance 100% directly correlates to roll race performance? We all know the GT350 is nothing special off the line in the 1/4, but we know the gearing is designed to carry speed around a road course ... when you're already rolling ... like a roll race.

Now, i am not 100% supporting the results of this race, my comment is directly in response to your comment.

What's suprising here here? A car that traps 120mph won't be slain dead and bastardized by a car trapping 125.

5mph at 125 is a 4% difference. Don't expect a devastating defeat.

A devastating defeat is a hellcat challenger with its 707hp of greatness vs a gt350r at leguna seca. There's like 7-8 seconds of ass whooping distance between them after a single lap.

No, 1/4 mile performance doesnt 100% correlate to roll race performance but a difference of 7-8mph trap is a pretty good indicator of an ass raping.

If you want to drink the coolaid on the video, thats cool, just dont expect to share your HSV I with us bro...

Lol... "120" for a gt350..... Hahahahaha... Good one brah! Not even the R bro...

350 is more like 116-117....

An 8mph difference in trap, is an ass raping.... A proper stock c6z will shit on a 350 on a roll run.

tangent or
that is a very impressive loss for sure. I would be impressed if I had no lived my life by this quote.

if you not first......... your last (trade mark of ricky bobby inc)

all that being said low 12 second cars are not slow. my 08 c6 never felt slow to me from behind the wheel and these are similar to that. a good run by a z06 will be wider margin victory though they are fast cars.

Its funny how you manipulate the numbers. 120 for the GT350 is at this point a hero trap. 125 for a C6Z is average at best. Use hero for both and the Z is a 130mph car. 10 mph difference in trap speed is a raping from a roll.

I was going to go with 119/120 vs 127/128 which clearly is an easy victory for the one with a lot less weight. The c6z is no joke. I use those numbers as I believe a great driver can drive most if not any stock(GT350 and C6Z) car to those numbers in good to great conditions.

ranger ran 10.8@128, almost everyone else runs 12.5-11.5@118-125 with c6z's. Gt350's run 12.0-12.5 @115-120. I don't care what motortrend ran, or what car and driver ran.

Notice how I round both the z and 350 to the higher of the range? Manipulate what exactly? Do tell...

So which video did you guys watch? Maybe click play, see and hear the race because the only thing I saw was a 115-120mph car racing a 120-125mph car. Nothing major. Nobody sucked or fell asleep, just real world results. Try stepping out of the basement for a few hours some night, this is nothing major. Happens all the time. News flash, cobro's, 5.bro's, cambraro's also lose races regularly enough.

And gt350r's will run 123+ within the next year, just wait. It took ranger quite a few years to net that 10.8@128, I think it was 2012 iirc so 6 years. Nobody in their right mind can think that's something duplicate by others. Let alone 130. What a stupid assertion. It's like saying most 03 cobra's trap 114-116 because all of like 2 runs have been that fast. We all know an 03 cobra runs 108-112 in most people's hands, and a c6z does 120-125. 130? Show me 2, no honestly 1 c6z pass at 130. If it exists, you know damn well it's the hero run of all.

Motor trends test of the 350's was on 91 Cali gas in 100* heat. Knock sensors and timing retard must not exist in keyboard warrior land. You'd have to be an idiot to think a z28 can only trap 116, a 350 only 117, or an r only 119. But you do you, I live in this place called real life, not keyboard warrior land where talking shit with text and making ridiculous assertions about how races will turn out has no bearing on how a recorded race actually unfolded because I can clearly see and hear how the race in question went.

Sell your koolaid to a blind man or a fool, don't be surprised that few people will buy it.

3 different drivers with 3 different cars have all gone 127+ stock in good conditions. Are you honestly going to say that stock z's will not trap 127?

3 passes in 10 years. I'm saying these are hero runs. Anyone rational would as well.

Did I say a z06 can't trap over 125? No. I said the average driver won't.

2 guys have gone 114 and 116 in a stock 03 cobra. An absolute idiot would accordingly assuming an 03 cobra can stay side by side with a z28. But since motortrend went 116 with a z28, it must be true that an 03 cobra is door to door with a z28.

This is obviously incorrect, but it reflects the logic being used when people assume every z06 runs 128 since 1 guy did.

The truth is with 10 years of passes and people racing them all across the U.S. 3 people found great air, track, and drove em great.

Nobody here honestly believes the average z06 traps 127.

An ass raping in the 1/4, yes. The gearing is best suited for roll racing though. It traps that low because it's a hard car to launch as you've probably seen. It's a different animal when it doesn't have to launch.
