Is there any other place I can get this fluid for less than $11 a QT ? The local GM dealerships want an arm for this stuff.

Thanks
Tom

I believe I paid close to $13 after taxes per quart. You need 4 quarts you save maybe $12.00. I sucked it up, drove to the stealership got it and changed the fluid in the same day, Just get it, you will noticed a difference immediately.

I use 4 quarts on a refill

manual specifies 8.2 pints, which is 4.1 quarts

I have a couple of friends who drive imports and their transmissions call for similar fluids as ours. However after a great deal of trial and error both of them ended up having the best results running a mix of gear oil and Redline MTL. Sounds kind of crazy but has anyone tried this on a Cobra? Just curious.

maybe just use the ford stuff and avoid any problems? Try a Clutch adjuster and quadrant if you have notchy shifting.....

im still stuck on what to use lol.

I have had the Penzoil Synchromesh in for a couple weeks and shifting feels pretty damn good and it is the same as the GM synchromesh only about $7 a qt less.

Get a set of CobraBob's gaskets when you do the MGW shifter. It makes it real easy to remove then re-install your shifter when you want to change fluid.
