Well, VMP is in Carlisle this weekend and I just heard that the opened the first production unit of the gen3 blower. So, who is going to be getting one? I am excited to see some results.

Their trade in program is crazy. You would be a fool to take part in it.

wonder if vmp is going to resell them as refurbished units...

if i had one already, i'd certainly sell before taking a bath on that trade in plan.

I'm sure there will be plenty that take part, I've never understood trading in a car. People just throw away $1000's of dollars on trades all the time.

I'm jumping on this blower.. My Tvs only has about 4,000 miles on it... What's the price on this new unit?

VMP taking trade-in knows the 2.3L market will be extremely thin after those that switch to the new 2.65L. The VMP, Whipple, KB, Turbo, etal marketplace can only handle a maximum of what 18k 03/04 Cobra total units. So pricing on refurbished 2.3L units will have to be competitive to other manufacturers. It appears the used market for 2.2, 2.3, etc. is currently finding difficulty commanding much over $2.3k for a low mileage blower.

For my thinking, the 2.65L will prove to be the sweet spot for our stock bottom end yet capable of delivering great power for those seeking the higher end of the curve.

Considering all the tech specs of the 2650 (2.65) TVS rotor pack there would be no reason for VMP to sell the 2300 (2.3) anymore. It “should” be the only big blower to not blow up lowers since it requires even less force to turn it than the current 2.3L, flows more air at lower speeds, etc. (all coming from Eaton). Time will tell just how good the blower is but considering how well the current 2.3L has done so far I’m guessing this will be the new “go to” blower.

This couldn’t have come at a better time....here I was thinking the other day that the aftermarket had kinda stalled out on these cars and most were focused on the new ones. I’m so happy to see a new product being offered.
Next year I’ll most likely be replacing the Eaton...either one of you guys used 2.3 or this 2.65 will be on top!

Biggest reason to trade in a car is when you owe on it and don’t want the hassle trying to sell private party with out the tittle.
