Gear opinion

I currently have 3.73s on my 99 Cobra from the previous owner. Come spring I want to get some more aggressive gears. I thought I had my mind made up on 4.30s but am a bit afraid that for all the in town driving I do it will be annoying with the 4.30s. Anyone think 4.10s would be a better idea?

Give me some opinions!!

Difference in 4.30's vs 4.10 is like 150-200 rpm or so. I'd go 4.30's, they are better in the quarter mile too.

Well I have 3.73's in my cobra with a v spec trans and a budy of mine has 4.30's with with 3650 in his Mach. Both cars have the same bolt ons excpt I have longtubes and both cars run close.

But hey, why not run 4.56's

3.73s to 4.10s isn't that big a difference. Go 4.30s
+1 the gain isnt worth the expense to step up to a 4.10 from a 3.73

Lol I have had the same experience. When I would run Corey's car (4.10) there was negligable differences

I have had 4.30's and 4.10's. Think I am going to go with 4.56's see how I like those. 4.30's on the street are fun as hell but it can get old shifting a lot.

If you have 3.73's and you want faster, I would go straight to 4.30's or 4.56's. Our cars arent meant to drive leisurely anyways. I like having a car that keeps me on my toes. Hell I have a honda when I want to be lazy.

Hell, with 4.88's he can take off in 3rd.

Or....... You can make the 4v of yours do it's job and make more than 270 rwhp.
You can but a bottle on that car for about the same price that you'll have in swapping gears.
