Previous best time at the track was:

1.47

4.28

6.57 at 109mph

I put strange struts and went from a 3.31 to a 3.55 and went back to the track

1.51

4.40

6.72 at 105mph

Now I have to shift into 4th right before I cross the traps. Is the extra shift causing me to lose 2 tenths and 4 MPH?

Everything has suffered. I understand the 60ft suffered some from the struts needing dialed in but its not a huge drop in 60ft but the MPH drop is alarming. Whats causing it?

I never agreed with lowering the gear ratio with a positive displacement blower. From my experience, with all the torque your making, you probably should have stayed with the other gears. I remember I had a 2000 lightning and had raced another 02 lightning, with more mods than mine, and I would pull him every time. I had higher gears. That was the only difference. Weird, but true.

I run 3.55's, it's not the gear. You should be data logging your runs so you know what's exactly going on. Has your tune been up dated for the gears? Shifts are set by mph & gears throw everything out of wack. Was your Nitrous working? Data log, Data log, Data log!

Your 60' was probably because the track prep changed.

The 3.55's were a wrong choice if you're still running a 28tire.

What does your power curve look like? The 3.31's should've carried you out to 115 on the 1/8 in 3rd and 140+ on the 1/4 in 4th.

Shifting right at the line will kill the mph but the ET loss was all in the first couple hundred feet, you dropped .120 of a second at the 330' mark and that will equate to a couple tenths at the 1/8.

Since you've changed the strut's it's possible you're hitting the tires too hard and walking on the sidewall. I've fought that problem for quite a while on my car.

You went the wrong way with gears.

The MT82 as gear ratios that are so aggressive you don't need numerically tall rear end.

I went from 3.73s to 3.27s because of this.

Track prep wasnt as good as the 60ft suffered some and Im sure it brought it down in MPH 1 or 2 but not 4. I think the shift right at the end killed it off. 3.31 back in it now so I'll find out tomorrow if I can get back in the 6.5s or faster I hope
