CEOs pay doesn't necessarily need to reflect on the pay of any of the other employees.

It's an indicator of corporate mindset.

How many engineers does Ford have vs Toyota? How comparable are their salaries?

How many middle managers does Ford have compared to Toyota? What is the travel policies?
How much is spent on advertising or corporate governance (ESG)?

So forth.

Japanese companies are know for being stingy and Europeans for being "equitable".

Americans tend to piss dollars and pinch pennies.

I don't disagree.

But look at Nvida. Should their lower level employees 50x's what Ford employees make?

Jim's annual compensation is $21M.

See where I'm going with this?

I am not on the Board of Directors, so I have no clue.

IMO, the UAW is asking for a 40% raise with free medical benefits and the old defined benefit plan.

I say they take a package at $100,000 per year which is much more than most folks earn. The UAW is nothing more but a communist socialist group.

I can buy better cars from Germany.

General Motors CEO Mary Barra made nearly $29 million in 2022

That's the only thing you need to compare the ford ceo salary to

Oh for sure.

So CEO pay shouldn't be or should be relatable to lower level pay?
That's up to the company to decide. Capitalism.

My point was the Ford CEO could be in the running for the GM CEO job. So that's the price you have to match.

Why work for company A when I can work for company B doin g the same thing for more money?

NVIDIA stock though...
I have never owned it.

I mostly have passive index fund in my retirement account. It's up big time. It's mostly due to the low Federal Reserve interest rates and the current Big Market rally.

I understand that the shit can hit the fan any day. I am not worried. I also own bonds.

This is nuts, The guy in charge:

Shawn Fain (born 1968 or 1969) is an American labor unionist. Fain worked as an electrician at the Stellantis automotive parts plant in Kokomo, Indiana. He was a United Auto Workers member for three decades, and held a leadership role in a local chapter of the reform group "UAW Members United".

I assume this Fain dude is corrupt?

This is the guy that will bankrupt the American manufactures and send the entire UAW workers off the job tonight at midnight?

I don't think so.

I think he's being extra to show he's pro membership, unlike his predecessor.
