A) i hate average british reviews
B) i picked up my ST for under $20k brand new... the RS is not worth double the price.
C) RS head gasket issue.
D) i still want an RS, badly!!!

I'm in the same boat on all accounts, I love my ST but would also love an RS.

Owned both and loved both.

The RS is quite a bit more car and feels way more aggressive. Once you figure out how to drive the car you can make your passengers sick to their stomach on track. I did it with 3 people in a row.

I've autocrossed both & considering price-point would go for the ST.
Add tires, high-temp front pads, a FR tune & call it done.

The '15 national champ (Mark Scroggs / G-Stock class) on a wet course:

I still really lust after a RS though...

I love my ST. It’s a very fun and practical daily driver. I’d love to have a RS but for that kind of money I’d be torn not to buy another Mustang.

Once I read your post, I contacted a couple local Ford dealers for lease $ on Fiesta ST & Focus ST. Apparently, you're better off buying vs leasing them. $370+ per mo on either one with zero down. Oh well, Jetta stays lol
