malcolm, would you sell a fabed gt500 h/e like the one pictured of urs ?
@MalcolmV8 - Any idea if all of the mods are performed except replacing the HE (but still putting the bigger barbs on the stock or aftermarket one) how much the AIT2 will suffer? Reason I ask is because I don't want to do the bumper replacement mod. Thanks! (I do have an aftermarket Fluidyne HE installed though)
MalcomV8 would you modify my J2Fab flow mod like you did to yours? My car is at the shop and would prefer you doing it since you've already done it. looks so good. lmk if you would and for how much. thanks
I appreciate the interest but I just have way to many projects and work on my hands right now.
Hey Guys,
Thought I'd share how I changed up my J2Fab mod on the front of the engine. I'm sure you've all seen how the IC lines point up by the valve cover and you loop over. Just my personal preference, not a fan of that.
The stock J2Fab manifold on the left next to OEM stock.

I cut the barbs off and cut up some pieces of mandrel bent tubing I got that match the ID/OD

Using a square as a jig for reference I mocked up what I needed. It took quite a few trial fits on the motor with all the other parts attached around it to figure out proper placement and clearances.

This is what it looked like

Here's how it fits on the motor

It looked great but stood out so I painted it to blend in.

Hides in there quite nicely

See how you can barely even see it and the IC hoses will tuck down nicely and out of site.

Some idea for anyone looking for a different way to run the hoses or even tuck under the stock cross over.
very nice, im definitely wanting this done as soon as funds allow

I would really like to improve my factory intercooler setup, but damn. $600 for the intercooler upgrade, $480 for the pump, $400 for a rear tank. That's $1500 before you buy lines, fittings, clamps, etc.
You did it the correct way though, I would do it the same Malcolm. Be curious to see your findings.
Fantastic work! Looks much better with the hidden lines. The J2Fab and trunk tank may be my next mod.

@GM2Ford great looking set up. id love to see more pics of how everything is routed, especially how you went from under the car into the engine bay. i finished my trunk set up and im not feeling the routing of the hoses so any ideas from others would be awesome. also what size tank do you have?
I should post pics of how I ran my lines. Was not a fan of such big lines near the suspension and road. If one of those splits or breaks that's a very large volume of fluid under the rear tires. My lines are completely tucked away and hidden. If you look under the car you can't find them anywhere

I am curious of your thoughts on the GT500 Afco HE, the J2mod, 1" hoses thoughout and the EMP pump on how well it would keep a 600rwhp whipple car cool in texas 98f heat in road racing applications where the car will be going for 30 minutes at a time full on racing?
I'm also considering adding a fuel cooler as well. I have a fuel safe fuel sell and the MM IRS cooler kit in the spare tub. I dont' think I can fit a trunk mount tank and honestly I don't think it would help with the 30 minutes of racing.
So this is why I'm asking for a non trunk tank setup using the EMP, 1" lines, J2 mod at the innercooler and afco GT500 HE with the aftermarket crash bar would this be the best setup to keep my temps stable for this long of racing?
