After having a stock GT auto for almost 15 months.....I know hard to believe

JLT CAI/ SCT tune

403 HP/ 391 TQ

I was happy happy happy

Mine lasted 6000 miles untuned , that was the hardest mod of any cause once you pop you cant stop..good numbers

So where are all the people who say a cai does nothing for power??
let me guess... the tune made the power, not the intake......:??:

What makes you think by his post the CAI did anything power wise? Unless he had a tune first and then added the CAI it's just speculation on your part.

no, there is power to be made by opening the intake pre tb.
if you dont believe me. Take your filter out and soak it in mud, let it dry and put back in your car.
Should run the same by your standards.

Ive been on the fence for a while now about putting on a CAI. Had them on my 2 GTOs and not sure they made that much of a difference with the heat soak going on.

This makes no logical sense of any kind.....

I is making 439 flywheel, based upon the dragstrip dyno, on the factory box and filter, on the supposedly "weakest" tune out there, the 91 octane Procal II. Don't think an aftermarket CAI is going to boost that any and would empty my wallet pdq. I'd be happy to back to back it at the dragstrip if someone'll loan me one to test next season. :rolling:
