Finally built a MAME box

Nice, I built one a few years ago. Used an old stand up arcade cab.

So did I. Also have an Android mini PC hooked up to my main TV that runs all the emulators.

How are the emulators for n64 and ps1 games these days? I fiddled with them back when most were afraid to hack their Xbox but the n64 and ps1 emulators were still glitch and laggy in some spots or certain games making them unplayable.

With upgraded hardware they aren't bad.

A factory Xbox has issues running them though

I got my raspberry pi 2 all set up with the latest version of Retropie. It runs PS1/N64 games very well. Just make sure to get an SD card with enough storage. The PS games are large and some have multiple images.

So I'm thinking of this thread just being made into my technology/gameroom/entertainment apartment.. etc. thread. So I may PM a mod to change the title of the thread. I'm in the process of a custom computer/desk set up/ arcade cabinet plus my other stuff... Here's one of the new things I picked up.

7 color back lit setup for the TV controlled by remote. It also has a fade function that will go through all the colors of the spectrum.. It's pretty cool so far. Like I just was streaming a Minnesota Vikings game yesterday and backlit it to purple and it looked great.

People have asked already ( on FB) if it hurts your eyes.. It's actually the opposite.. Due to it emitting light to a wider distance it actually has felt better for my eyes since my eyes don't focus in so hard on one spot of light. Here's a couple pics. ( Don't mind the wires as I'm waiting until I have everything I want on the stand ready to go and then I will consolidate the wires) Pics are blurry due to crappy cell camera
