Hey all. My buddies and I are working on getting a YouTube channel started and would appreciate follows/subscribers if it's of any interest to you. We grew up in small towns and now live on the skirts of Indy, working our day jobs (finance, pharmacy, engineering) . Weekends are usually spent on the "Farm", the name we've dubbed for our collective acreage. Tractors, mowers, chain saws, cleaning brush, hauling dirt, fixing drives, etc are part of maintaining our property and we're just capturing what we're doing, what works, and what may not work. It's a fun adventure and hopefully we'll be capturing the digging of a pond this summer if all works out. Take a look! Indy Farm Life Sent from my SM-G965U using the svtperformance.com mobile app
Northern rednecks. I am already writing a song in my mind that would fit right in with that channel. Sent from my [toilet] using the svtperformance.com mobile app
Thanks! Ha! We don't have much of a marketing and entertainment budget, but there's always beer in the fridge... The 3 of us have really found working the property to be our escape from our day jobs I mentioned. Sent from my SM-G965U using the svtperformance.com mobile app
I'm about 25 miles outside the largest Amish Community in the US North Central Ohio. So just like you I know how this life is.
Very cool...I subbed. My 5yo is obsessed with farm equipment and tractors and such, so he will love it. Probably would be smart to push this in the direction of kids since those types of channels blow up at a ridiculous pace. Just keep the language clean and I think you guys have something good on your hands. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
While we don't have a traditional farm, life is just better when we can get out on the weekends. We have a farmer that lives and farms a lot of acres around us. We need to get in good with him. No wife, no kids. He can't farm forever and we don't want to see his acreage get turned into housing additions when he's gone. That's a really good idea! I'll pass along the suggestion. Oh, trust me, its time is coming. Interesting story behind the 580... It sat untouched for 7+ years from the previous owner. It came with the purchase of the land my buddy made and he resurrected it. Motor was strong and easy to bring back to life, but the transaxle was wrecked. He had to rebuild it to get it to move. Blew a hydraulic hose on the loader early, but easy replacement. All the hydraulic lines could be replaced and cylinders repacked, but he's going to address those issues as they fail. It's a workhorse. Sent from my SM-G965U using the svtperformance.com mobile app
Concept and music are fine but you're missing a catch or reason to come back for more such as: - How to / step-by-step (Bob Vila) - Personality / antics (someone like Larry the Cable Guy... get er done or the "that thing got a Hemi" guy) - Conflict (similar to OCC between Paulie & Sr.)
I believe the reason to come back is to see the DIY nature of everything were doing. Like said above, if we can execute a way to attract kids, without alienating adults, that could be a home run. Strict rule: Beer cracked, saw back in the case. Sent from my SM-G965U using the svtperformance.com mobile app
I thought this was going to be a singles channel. Was disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using svtperformance.com
