E85 in Long island, NY

Hey guys, I'm thinking about going with E85. Does anyone know what stations have E85 and more importantly what seems to be the average price? I have found some locations online but can't seem to find any info on prices. If your from Long island, NY and use E85 or atleast know of E85 stations/prices let me know! Thanks

Thanks for the response man, wish I was closer to there, I'm in suffolk county so that's about 25-30 min from me. Hopefully I can find prices like that around here!

you cant, sorry man, I have a buddy from Babylon area, has a TT 911 converted, fast f'n car, he tested 10-15 stations from the south shore and that was the best one he concluded after I told him about it.

There is a Citgo on 109 in Lindenhurst that sells it as well

Shit really, there are 4 stations within 5-7 miles from me, not sure if tested the mid LI/north shore but hopefully one of them are decent. How much Of a difference in quality are the E85's from station to station?

hard to say on "quality"

however he told me the Sunenergy has the "cleanest" looking sample

they also have the highest % of ethanol consistently - their's will be 85% when many will be 70-75%

I doubt he hit many NS stations

Also I heard Valero is adding E85 to all their stations that they are refurbishing or being built new.

If you have IPhone check out the App "Flex-Fuel" There are only 2 that are free make sure its the "Flex-Fuel" app the Flex finder free app sucks

Yea I am pretty sure, I live right off Old Nichols and motor parkway, so its the closest to me. I will be over there later, but I always try to see what it is at.

Im probably going to just fill a 50 gallon drum with it and keep it home, But I would write down the list so that if your on the road you know where you can go.

it's been a few weeks since I got fuel and I know prices have moved - but Sunenergy was 2.97 for E85 last I filled mine up

Yea probably Valero. I know some of the cheapest gas prices I've seen were at a Valero. The one on bayshore rd by mustang magic has 93 for like $4.09. I wish they had E85 because it would probably be at or under $3 there.

I talked to the guy at gulf in Islandia. He said they just don't sell a lot of it, so they jack the price a bit. I asked how often they fill up, he said they just get it in smaller fills to keep it fresh instead of filling completely and letting it sit for a few months. Not sure how true that is.
