I have the stock 3.55 gear. I come up with 145 mph at 6200 rpm on 28 inch tall gears in fourth gear.

I'm saying that while the ratio allows for it, the length of the track doesn't at your power level. (unless it's 10 degrees out and you have a damned perfect day).

750 RWHP? Really?

My 2003 Cobra was trapping 133 mph with 600 rwhp but I had a 3.90 gear.

Still, I would think 750 rwhp will trap 145.
One guy you may want to study for this is Quade. He's been doing a great job running high 9's at 140+ for the past year. He ran a 143.63 MPH a few weeks back with approximatley 958 RWHP. These are heavy cars that take a bit of power to get the high MPH's. Here's some threads to look at:

Why so hung up on getting a high trap speed? Most of us with only a roll bar worry about staying under 135 so we don't get kicked out. Do you have a full cage?

how much does the car weigh?

FWIW - I only got to the track with mine once (told not to come back without a bar), car made 770whp on a MD and it trapped 137-139 with crap launches (2.0-2.2 60's). Probably at a weight or around 4100-4150.

when sfadachi had the car it trapped 146 on a 1.46 60' with 960whp tune on a DJ in Florida.

Pretty much full weight. I think the weight I took off the car I gained back with the roll cage and coolant system for the snout on my blower.

Guess I'm wrong. A GT500 should be about 500 pounds heavier than an 03 at most. I figured if I trapped 133 with 600 rwhp with the 03 I should be able to get into the 140's with 750 rwhp on a GT500.

I do not know if it is legal for 140's but I have a Maximum Motorsports 6 point in my car. I think most NHRA tracks in my area would allow it for T&T. I had it in my 03 when I ran aat Rockingham but it is an IHRA track. They didn't throw me off.

I want to run nines. Can you run 9's trapping in the 130's with 1.5X sixty footers?
