Ok. Because I haven't found any decent good looking AND powerfull (lightpower) aftermarket projectors, so I decided to make my own. I just got myself set of ugly yellowish '94 GT headlights and one set Mazda 6 headlights. I dunno is this model familiar in US but here in north Europe it's quite common Mazda model. Those lights are well known to be very good and powerfull. Here's some pictures... I'm going to add pictures when work progress. At the momen I'm very happy what I had done but not sure where this all ends up. Will see that later...

Looks good thus far.
Did you have to cut the second light you mounted in there?
How did you mount them?
How do you know that everything will be pointed straight when the lights are installed in the car?

Keep the updates coming.
I'd like to try this but with different lights (not the mazda)

I didn't have to cut any of those lights. That high beam just happens to be that shape so it fits and folows top edge of SN95 housing. They are mounted with M4 screws. They are lined up with the marks that are in those Sylvania SN95 housings but final adjustments had to be done when lights are installed into car but before front lenses are glued back. And for the record, I'm going to use Cobras original clear lenses. I'm thinking that I'll paint the inner housing to black.

It's a retrofit, good job. Most people use the Acura TL, RSX or Audi RS6 lenses. The TL and RS6 gives you the bi xenon for hi/lo beams. Most people on here chastise the retrofitters because they buy the HID kits and consider them golden. Retrofit is the only way to go if you ask me to get real light output without just a blast of light everywhere. I think yours is the first I've seen with the Mazdas though, it looks good!

Aa... It was RS6 lights. I allways wondered where to find bi-xenons. Sad to say but these Mazda lights are only projector lights with H1 halogen bulbs. But I'm going to try HID kit with those low-beam projectors.

Anyways... This is a cheap try out. I got those Mazda lights for free from friend of mine who used to work at Mazda. And those SN95 lights costs me 40eur and they eaven came with corners too.

Those look good but you really need to use a different lens man. one that is clear on the outside.

Just wonderin do I paint them or not? I'm getting unsure does they look good if I paint the SN95 housing black or leave them like they are now.

Ugh I wish you were in the states. I'd gladly pick up a set of headlights off a Mazda6 and send you a pair of headlights to do a retro for me.

I have retrofitted headlights in my DD scion tC and the light output with 4300k HID's (not blue) is awesome. The cutoff is nice ad sharp and doesn't blind anyone, yet I can see 100x better than stock headlights. There's a huge market out there for other cars for retro headlights, but nobody really does them for stang owners unfortunately.
