not at my post...
The cowling was loose, they had full spoilers on as the flaps are definitely not "down 40" in landing configuration. IIRC the pilots were hesitant to use the flaps as one took a hit on takeoff as the initial piece of cowling ripped off and they didn't want to try and extend the flaps or slats and perhaps get in a situation where it would upset the aircraft so they came in hot.
Looks like once they hit the thrust reversers is when the remaining cowling was ripped away.
Yeah they came in pretty hot, there is audio of them telling fire and rescue to stay away from landing gear and to watch for fires.

A 737-8 NG slick (minus the gear) is going to be coming in at up to ~60-70+ knots faster than flaps 40 (48*). So ~180mph+ especially at Denver's altitude, vs ~120mph. At least they had enough runway to work with to get her stopped.

Even after the video showed the cop planting that open container?

That’s insane. Did his lawyer not get the body cam footage? WTF.
Of course they didn’t see cops body Cam footage….. the courts just viewed what the cops submitted into evidence… which was an open container in the passenger seat, where the officer placed it.

Even worse is after her being questioned about her actions when she is caught red-handed, she has the nerve to reply to everything with “ I don’t recall”
