Been in a bit of an automotive slump lately. Bought a house and had no motivation to work on or even clean my cars. Finally got some motivation last weekend and cleaned up the G8 a bit and took it out to check out a car show and local cruise. Had a great time, hoping this marks the end of the slump lol.

Just took a few pictures with my iPhone, thanks for checking them out!

Yeah, they have their issues, but I really can't complain, mine's been good to me.

If I needed a four door, that's one of the first places I'd look. I dig the wheels you went with

Appreciate it!

Quite a few people have had issues with the DOD lifters. My timing chain tensioner broke, but I caught it before it did any damage. I had my flexplate crack. Also, while I love the way the interior looks, it's pretty cheap and a lot of the trim pieces break and wear easily.

Despite the issues, I do love the car. Most people will understand this as we all seem to find ways to overlook the negative aspects of our cars.

Thanks for the info they are still damn good looking cars and that is the truth If you love a car you often overlook negative aspects.

Really really like the g8s.... I only wish they had wider rear wheels from the factory... Some 10-10.5 rear rims would look killer on that car.

Yeah, if the stock rear wheels were wider so I could have put a drag radial on them, then I'd probably still have them on the car.

That is a sharp car OP. I wish your motivation would rub off on me. I can't remember the last time I drove my 03, let alone clean it up. Hell, I haven't even touched our DD's since starting this interior house remodel.

I hear you on that. I don't even have an excuse. No kids, no real responsibilities, and I still couldn't get myself to touch the cars, except for daily use. My Z28 has been off the road since 2010 due to an engine failure, if that gives you an idea lol.

Looks great. I have always wanted a G8, and would love to have one for a nice weather daily. They are just so comfy and quick for what they are.

Thanks! I have just as much fun with it as I did with my faster car. It's surprised a few people.

Jesus Christ man, get it together....

I hear you, I'm starting to miss banging gears, so I might have to just throw a junkyard engine in there to get it on the road. Gotta rebuild the transmission too.
