Having good friends that work at CCW and knowing the owner fairly well as well as having a couple sets of classics now, i think the knockoffs are an alternative and it won't hurt CCW's business at all because buyers for these XXR wheels aren't ever going to be buyers for the real thing so know money is lost from a potential buyer, it goes back to the whole "replica rolex" theory- guys that can afford a $15k watch are going to buy one and guys that won't ever be able to afford one were never a potential buyer. I think there's something to be said for how cheap ccw's are for a TOP NOTCH forged wheel that is better quality than an hre for 1/4 the money, that being said you don't always get what you pay for just google "cracked hre", at $10k a set you're getting a wheel thats as structurally sound as this XXR knockoff.

Just picked up my new classics the other day:

I think if we all call them and try to order these in 18X9 and 18X11 they might get the message

That's a really good idea. I'm calling tomorrow and having a little convo with them. Maybe I can get them to come on here and make a screen name and a poll for interest.

The rears on his car are 11.5". He paid extra to get them wider.

They look good.... I don't know why people get so bent out of shape due to rims being " FAKE " or not. CCW is a race " inspired " wheel and a LARGE majority of people who have them DON'T RACE, they like the looks of them. More people who have CCW's road race with them rather than drag race. Drag racers use bigs and littles. So why spend $3500+ on authenticity when you can have an identical look for under $1000 LoL. Also when it comes to quality, if you bang a rim hard enough, it's going to get damaged regardless. I'm not a cheap person by any means however, I AM logical.

CCW classic is just a copy of a BBS wheel anyways. Chicken or egg? Who cares. LOL.

went to my local xxr dealer. these wheels look real nice in person, and are pretty lite. that being said, they are on back order, always on back order. 2-3 months for the 18x11.5s. oh well.

I love the 531's I put on my G8. They look awesome (in my opinion), they are lighter than the factory wheels, and they were cheap so if I damage one I don't have to commit suicide. Perfect for a car that gets driven daily.
