A 12 sec run at Carlsbad doesn't count at LACR. Too easy. You gotta run a 12 on a Friday night at LACR with the grandstands full and the run results displayed on the sign for everyone to see. No one will ever know what you ran at Carlsbad unless you show them the slip, and, a lot of the time the printer is out of ink.

:p

Don't forget, my first pass last time I didn't get a slip cause the printer was down. Not that I wanted to show anybody how badly the truck with the GN motor kicked my ass in the heat

If I show Saturday it will be my 4th visit to C-Bad, so I know my way around that track too.

PModdy, you better watch out. Drag racing is every bit as compulsive as gambling and can cost just as much as well. Trust me, I know about both activities and they have a lot in common.

I gotta call 4filter.com tomorrow, see where my Aircharger is.

There was this guy I ran into at the track once, a Norwegian from Minnesota. I said "Are you one of those guys who grew up up saying Yah sure, you betcha?"

He told me he'd moved to Cali when he was twelve and took up surfing, now he said "Yah sure, you betcha dude!"

Sorry, lame, lame, lame....:bash:

I gotta walk my dog...

You can't have everything, where would you put it?
-Steven Wright-

I need room in my garage for car parts and tools. and room on my computer for guitar licks...

Boy, I'd give something tender for a sticky lane on Saturday.

"Man u got a funky way of talking...... " (PModdy)

His posts make me feel kinda funny ...
(what movie was that from, Wayne's World?) :D

I am mentally rrrrrrready for Saturday. It will be good to see some of the folks from South of here, like Frank with that red-hot Lightning.
I don't know if the piggy Vert will be any stronger than the last time at LACR -- with 445 hp I feel so underpowered. A couple of things are 'in the mail'. :cuss: :gt: :bash:

I will schedule a retune with Danny for Friday afternoon just in case anything makes it here. Cutting it close, but if ANYTHING gets here it will go on.
Did I really need to order that parachute?

Still trying to get the rollbar NHRA legal before the trip down -- may have to drive down with primer on it.

Very interested in seeing this place where Tetge runs 12.7 with a 2.1 60ft. Dayum But Tetge is the zen-master...

Do you have the drive path to C-Bad and launch time set?

Adam and I will plan on following you down. Just want to leave early enough to pick a spot and scatter some chairs to hold some spaces. And to hook up with Frank.

C-Bad opens at 11:00 per their web site and, they usually don't let anyone in early. Everyone lines up across the street and the line has always been fairly long when I arrived. "Paved" pit spots are not abundant and I have never had one of them. There are a lot of really sandy dirty spots available. You would have to get there very early to be sure of nailing down any "prime" real estate.
I thought that C-Bad was opening earlier than 11, but, apparently I was tripping.
