Can I buy a used SCT flasher and is there a big difference between X2 and X3?

A locked tuner can be unlocked, just had my X2 done when I swapped to an auto

How much was the unlock?

Find the tuner you want to use and pick the handheld that goes with the software they use, otherwise you may end up searching for someone that uses your handheld instead of someone you have confidence in

This is great advice. Be sure to check the tuner's references. There are a lot of quacks out there...

So I bought a new (supposedly) SCT X3 and have a few questions:

1. It says I have 5 unlocks left, does that tell me its new?
2. I guess the reason im asking the Q. #1 is bc when I go to the menu under VEHICLE INFO, and I get a different last 5 vin # than the one on my car??? Any reason why? kinda worrying me

look through tthe menus and see if it says "married" the vin could just the last car it was married too, I have dealt with more x2s than 3s
