i was in my buddies c6 z06 tonight and he ran a new gixxer 750 from a 60 roll. first run from 60, the c6 z06 pulls 1 car out and keeps pulling to about 4-5 cars total on the gixxer. my buddy thinks it was a bad run so him and the bike does the run again from 60. this time, much closer. the c6 z06 pulls the gixxer 750 up to 160 by 1 1/2 car. this was my first time riding in a c6 z06 and OH MY GOSH   , this thing pulled to 160 about as fast as a stock 03/04 cobra can hit 120...... the c6 z06 screams and it pulls to 160 so effortlessly. im trading my cammed c5 for one, because "i gots to get me one of these" (will smith's words from independence day).

Surprises me, I guess it's all about the rider. I can understand pulling at high speeds but not down low.

I would love to go for a ride in a new Z06, to check it out. The kill to me doesn't seem unlikely. If we were taling about another car then I may have doudts.

Good kill

Nice kill, but sounds like rider error... The Z is damn fast, maybe even close to 130ish with a FREAK? 127 is the best I've seen... my 03 R6 trapped 109 in the 1/8th and 134 in the 1/4, there isn't a Z06 out on the streets yet that fast, and the 06 750 would rape my poor little 6...

The best trap speed I found for and 00-03 r6 was 128.05 through various magazines. If your R6 traps 134 then you are definately not stock my friend.

I never said it was stock... :D I just said that a 06 750 would smoke my old bike... Which it would make the traps on that 750 with a great rider in the 136+ range imo.

BTW it has a M4, down a couple in front, lowered 3 inches, strapped, and programmed. It made 110 or so at the wheel. I never rode it at the track, I am just stating times I saw my friend, the previous owner actually do at the track.

Bottom line, most people suck at riding. I almost ran a guy over in his 750 b/c I was coming up on him so hard, and that was with 460rw.

It's all in the rider.

Definately rider error. A 750 would pull a C6 Z06...definately from a 60mph roll. I tried my best to get a C6 Z06 to run my bike from about a 60mph roll but I guess he didn't want to get his feeling hurt?

Was the Z stock?

It sounds like you ran a new 600cc, a 750 should pull the Z pretty easily.

no, the gixxer was not a 600, it was a 750. yes, the c6 z is stock. and the guy with the gixxer has been riding for awhile, but he had just got the bike the same day they raced.

Well then, new bike=reason why Zo6 won. They are sick cars, but a 750 should still be able to pull it pretty hard.

Also...Independence Day =

good job, but if the rider knew what he was doing it wouldnt have went down that way. so was it an 06 750, or left over 05? there is a fair bit of difference between the two. although even an 03 750 would put the c6 down in the right hands.
