Meh, I would have stuck with the Z.

There is not nearly a big enough performance difference to warrant the significant price difference.

Beautiful ZR1 and nice upgrade! I thought long and hard about doing the same thing about 6 months ago but chose to keep the Z06. I'm still partial to the Z06 cost/performance wise. At 7psi my Z06 makes 140HP more at the crank than the ZR1 does at 10.5psi. I know the LS7 is not the best blower platform and I always have the documented exhaust valve issues in the back of my mind. Which is why my heads are going to WCCH for SS exhaust valves, springs, shaft mount roller rockers and port cleaning in the next month or so. This fall, I will probably forge the bottom end, add a blower cam and maybe turn the boost up on it a little. :rockon:

Other than that great upgrade bolt on ZR1's are brutal. Where else can you get a 142-145mph trapping car with bolt ons and very solid reliability?


The hood and the wheels are just blech!! That's my favorite color btw great choice!!
