Me too for my Trackhawk tho...... Its got a 430ci billet aluminum stroker going in with aluminum thitek heads, inconel exhaust valves, titanium intake valves, billet Winberg crank and Callies ultra billet rods with custom pistons. Plan on making 1500+ with nitrous. Gotta do the trans and converter next......

Almost done with it. Plan on going 8's on blower only. Dont think that has been done yet but not sure. Gonna be hard to beat on the street. Just bought a Titanium exhaust for it. Saved 60 lbs. The Aluminum block and heads are 100 lbs lighter than the stock block.

Considering Carbon Ceramic rotors but shit at $16k just for rotors thats steep AF! But I could essentially lose 150 lbs off the front end with the Aluminum block and light weight rotors. Thats huge! Plus the rotating mass.

The F1 interchiller is an absolute MUST for any blower car imo. We picked up 80 whp with it on my buddies Hellcat. Temps were 5 degrees! 5!!!!!!!!!
Thats pretty impressive. Whats your opinion on a Killer Chiller for the S197's?

I personally run the KB bigun intercooler and it does make a noticeable difference with IAT2s. I'd rather run something like that, than a killer chiller

Did you modify the intake manifold per kenne bell when you installed the bigun intercooler or did you leave it stock?

When Van at Revanracing owned the car before me, he installed it and I believe he did modify the lower intake. But I'd have to ask him.

Had a blast at the 1/2 mile event, other than having traction issues, the car did amazing. Best MPH of the day was 171.4, I think if I had better traction I would hit 173 or higher. overall I couldn't happier with the GT500 performed.

Looked like a good time, & you layed waste to the car in the other lane pretty easy.
What gears & tires are on the car ??

Thanks buddy, I was extremely happy how she performed. I think if I drop to a 2.4 upper pulley and go back on E85 and have better traction she'll do 175 or more.

Does anyone else ever get concerned with high speed runs and Drag Radials?

Aren’t some of the common ones only rated into the 140s and 150s?

I believe they're good for 186mph, I don't think I'd try and push 200mph with them. But now I'm looking at the 315/30R20 Toyo RR tires to put on next

I've been over 180 with CUP 2 tires and it was smooth. I'm trying for 200 hopefully next year. 295/30/20 up front and 325/30/20 out back.

I went 186 in my other 13 GT500 and it felt good, but the road conditions weren't ideal lol. I plan on doing 200mph with this car next year at the Texas mile.

I've been a little over 170MPH in both my fun cars. Both were equipped with Michelin Pilot Super Sports at the time. (The Shelby now wears Pilot Sport 4S and has about 150HP more than it had at the CO Mile, where the DA was well-over 8K feet.)

Pass 5 - 170.2MPH.jpg

The '07 Shelby seen at the beginning of the video was driven by friends, so this was not a race. Speed limit in this area was 80MPH, which is why the video starts a little above that. FWIW, the Z had plenty of acceleration remaining. I let-off because the road became less than smooth and we were closing the gap to cars that started on the horizon pretty quickly.

Both cars felt great - very stable and controlled throughout the runs.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Finally got the fore system and whipple installed. And got it on the dyno, Rob @ PBD did the computer work as usual. We fought some belt slip issues once we got to the little pulley. Backed up and punted after the first day. Ordered a new tensioner, griptec pulley and new belt. Back to the dyno we went. We didn’t break the 1k mark, but I also wanted a tune that wouldn’t be pushing the limits. Car ended up making 985/913.
