For those that haven't seen my other posts, I bought a terminator from a guy on SVTP and I took it to get the tune checked out because it seemed it was running rich and found out that it was all busted to hell on the inside. A piston was cracked, it had stock length rods on a stroker crank, the crank was cracked and so was the block. Shame on me, I didn't do enough homework, I knew that it was running rich and something didn't seem quite right, but this kind of damage was not disclosed at all and I didn't find it before buying. Either way, new block, crank, rods and pistons, reworked heads and we are getting back in shape and hopefully back on the road soon.

On to the pictures:

WOW! Super Nice pics. I had a similar thing happen to me after buying my 2nd Terminator on here off of a guy in South Carolina. It was Tuned all wrong and went boom 300 miles after I brought it home. Did the Machine shop take all those pics for you or are you that close you can go take pics?

The shop sent me the photos. The car is about an hour and a half from home, so not too bad but I don't get down there often.

Nice pics, and good luck with the new build. It's unfortunate that you had to replace the motor this soon after purchasing the car. Did you contact the person you bought the car off of to let him know what you found?

he knows what we found but he bought it from another forum member shortly before I got it. He told me it was broke and he didn't know how much, I took a risk and got a good buy on it (if it wasn't this broke) and I got the short end of the stick. Life goes on...$10-11k later I'll have a badass car.

All that said, if I knew who put the stock rods on the stroker crank and some of the goofy stuff they found under the hood I'd like to punch them right smack in the mouth.

EXACTLY! My motor was built 7,000 miles before I bought it. I put 300 miles on it and complete catastrophic failure. Needs a full re-build again! How do you tune so poorly that you blow up an engine good for a 1,000 HP?!?!?!?

I remember reading your story. The rebuild is looking great! It'll all be worth it when you can drive your car.

I have had countless issues with my car since purchasing her but it's all coming together in time.

Nice to see your engine moving in a very positive direction. Never fun when you discover major engine issues after a purchase. You've done everything right and seem to be very positive throughout. Won't be long and you'll be enjoying the fruits of your labors. :)

Thank you, sir. Your gaskets will be going in shortly!
