This car started its life with me about 4-5 years ago when a friend gave up on the restoration after a few bugs were showing their ugly heads. Some of you have seen it from time to time im sure.
The car is a 1987 Mustang LX 2dr sedan better known as the Coupe or Trunk car during the 79-93 Foxbody run.
Most people ether find this car unique or just plain ugly, lol, however this car was one of only forty seven cars built in 1987 with the 8L color code. That would include all coupes, hatchbacks, GT's and four cylinder cars. I was lucky enough to find this one as a true 5.0 5 speed car with limited options, ac delete, radio delete etc.
Three years ago I ended trading the car off due to some life issues. And watched as she was parted out and I ended up buying the car back as a roller, with nothing in the car suspension wise, the wiring was gone and all the drive train. Well I bought it back a year and half ago but had to let it sit due to getting things back in line and finally I was able to pc her almost back together. She will need some body attention and I am still working out other details but here is the latest progression of her.
And now I have just torn the car back apart to address some body issues that I am finally semi comfortable with the drive train and wiring issues, hopefully in the coming weeks she will be back on the roads
