With TX2K pretty much here I still have a lot of work to do. Thought I would share this for those interested. I ran the GA 1/2 last year and notice my rotors where getting blue slowing this thing down (fastest mustang all weekend). So full tilt boogie two piece floating rotors, hawk pads and brake duct cooling. Already had braided lines and dot 4 fluid.

Old and busted

I'll update with rears when I finish. When to 13" rear brakes because street car.
So upgrading stopping and shaving 11.6lbs of rotating mass.

Damn I have so much left to do for TX... Pass side rear is done. Driving side will be done quick today.

Nice! I'm running the FTBR drag race weight full floating front and back and love them. Been running them on the street for about a year now still no issues. Car stops great with them and no vibration issues whatsoever.

Full tilt boogie full floating rotors

After TX I plan to step down to some lighter weight 18s. Shave more weight and rotating mass

Full Tilt Boogie is one of the best out there in road racing parts for older Mustangs. These brakes are amazing and do the job as well.

Would you guys recommend these for road course duties? Gonna be hitting Laguna Seca in July and looking to add some wheels/tires/brakes (in that order), maybe some long tube headers + tune in june so the car is roaring next to the sound booth! lol

they have a RR version that is a lot heavier.. almost OEM weight. but the two piece design is the big improvement. no coning since its allowed to float free on the hat vs. fixed on one side to the center hub.

No the rears. Stock is 11.8". I chose to go to 13" rotors, which come with a bracket to move caliper.
