I have a 2013 Shelby GT500. Mods are as follows:

Whipple CAI
Whipple Twin 68MM TB
Metco 2.4" upper pulley
Metco Auxiliary Idler Kit
ARS Belt Tensioner
NGK plugs
Tuned by Lidio at Alternative Auto

I dyno'd 648 RWHP and 620 torque. Was kind of disappointed in the torque numbers but Lidio said they had some slipping issues even after taking air out of the tires.

I've been looking at videos and posts on increasing power and many mention using Boostane. Is it worth using? If so, what kind of numbers could/would I pick up? Is it safe/good for the car?

Mine was pulling timing due to spark knock, while on the dyno.
I added about 1/4 can of VP Octanium and cleared it up.
Pump gas is junk.
Ask your tuner about running 5 or 10 gallons of canned VP or Sunoco.
It really is a different product.
It is not going to help with tire slip on the dyno rollers!

I used to run it all the time in my boosted coyote, that thing looked like a rusty boat anchor with a borescope. If you use it, I would use it seldomly or mix race gas with your 93

Same thing happened to me.

Lidio told me the same about pump gas and said to especially stay away from Costco gas, Kroger etc.

Is anything done to your rear suspension, stock?
Focus on something else
Tires, Headers, HiFLow cats...gears
Thanks.

No, the suspension is stock.

Getting the gears replaced in the spring by Lidio. I believe most are recommending I go with the 3.73s.

Do headers add much HP?

Cats are off.

A lot of owners over dose using octane boosters. They think, a little is good, a lot is better.
I have found it does not take much to clean up the octane rating per tank of gasoline.

I put 3.73s in my 13 GT500. I wish I had put 4.10s.
I would have been able to use 6th gear and had the advantage in low gear.
Look up Bimini, I think, he has done about every mod on his 13 and can give real world advise.
good luck,

Headers last
Rear Suspension (about $800.00 in parts)
Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs
Gears
get a good pair of new rear tires; Toyo R888
Do all of it at once. Completely different car that will grab

How bad was it in comparison to say that normal carbon build up you would see?

I ask because out here in CA all we get is 91 and octane booster is very appealing.

Rusty AF, not just regular carbon build up. If you're going to run it keep an eye on your spark plugs

Why don't you discuss timing with Lidio. The only way you're going to make that power number on a Dynojet is either a metric ton of belt or clutch slip OR you are off by about 3 degrees of timing due to knock /high iat2, etc. More octane allows for more timing before detonation. But talk to him. Forums won't answer your questions.

was it actually rust, or just rust colored - I thought Boostane was known for leaving a (supposedly) harmless orange hue on your engine internals and spark plugs
