The 1 major complaint about the irs is the wheel hop, according american muscle its worst then the previous stock s-197. This could explain why the 60 ft is so slow!
Great run, but would like to see it run with a full interior and factory tires. Is that weight with out without the front seat?
The weight was confirmed as a stock car and not how it was run at the strip.
Thanks, getting a base GT in spring and anxious to see confirmed weights such as this and of course more stock 1/4 runs.

From what I've been hearing upgrading the bushings go a long way towards quelling the wheel-hop.
Some stock s197's have run that off the showroom...just sayin.
And the S197 is not nearly as detuned as the S550.
CAI, Catback, and Tune....I have my money on the S550 all day.

They said the DA was 1300 last night...
edit: I saw that Todd had posted both of these quotes, perhaps he found out after the fact that the car had drag radials. Thanks to Todd for reporting on the original run, then making the corrections.
If it's BONE STOCK , then I'm impressed, if it has drag radials and weight reduction and runs a 12.656, then I'm not so impressed. Again, BONE STOCK isn't drag radials and weight reduction.

He said the weight reduction was about 120 lbs. he filled up the tank at the strip and ran with a full tank of gas. He also has the 3.15 gear.
