No question this will improve the remote mount, do we have to revert back to our original mounting bracket? I have a steeda and not sure I can find the original. The built in loop is also a great idea.

it comes with a new mount, as its designed to mount onto their bracket, its totally different

Nice! It's great to see a how-to. I've never modified a manual shifter, brackets etc. I assume any nvh increase would be insignificant?

No increase in anyone but myself and after speaking with Steve I believe that is due to me pulling the shifter right up against the trans tunnel.
