As for a video, one of the guy who challenged you, Gary J's other car was posted in this very thread, it's him racing a turbo Busa with race gas in his Viper on 20" wheels/tires with PUMP gas AND a passenger in the car:

http://www.streetcarforums.com/videos/JUDGEMENT DAY 2LR.wmv

 atleast show a video in which the rider knew what the hell he was doing. The guy is basically sitting in a straight up position the whole time :dw:

He needs to learn how to tuck...

Yes yes, I know EVERY time a bike loses it's because of the driver..... but the bike had race gas and even with him not tucking (and the Viper having a passenger) it still wasn't close.

Had he tucked to where he couldn't even see over the shield he still would have lost.

99.9% of (sport) bike losses to street cars are because the rider lacks the skills, b*lls and experience (read: not downshifting enough times and playing catch up).

That TT Viper is clearly a bike killer (from a roll) and the (rare as hen's teeth) exception with 148 mph traps on 20's. My 03 Busa will quickly pull my 597 rwhp Cobra.

If you're not running 140+ mile traps and running 9's, forget about beating new 1 liter + bikes with a real rider- roll or dig.

Not taking anything away from that Viper, but that Busa rider IS pathetic.

But he still would've lost. ;)

Actually his SRT10 traps 149mph, the GTS us supposed to be faster, and he has a third one he is working on that is suppose to make both look slow.

when I saw this thread I knew it was going to be a pissing match lol, glad I came in at the end.

Good points. you're definitely going to need high 130's+ to stay near modern liter bikes..... however, Gary Javo's blue/white TT 930 rwhp (high 140's) viper absolutely deystroys them...total bike killer....put about 8 bus lengths on a well ridder stock gsxr1000, before racing the turbo Busa. For fast cars vs. bikes, it's all about the car's power curve......for example JB's 650 rwhp c5 will stay right next to a 2002/2003 r1 and then pull it above 140, and also will stay within a a couple cars of a stock Busa, and then very slowly creep back up as the speed rises.....beating a Busa, or the like, however, is going to take low 140's at least, depending on how high the speeds go in the race. Usually the rule of thumb I use is from a race betwen a 725 rwhp s/c Z06 and a fairly stock busa, where the busa pulled about a car or two on the vette.....so a .25 fwhp/weight ratio is a good starting point.

the busa guys tried saying this when the vid came out, the "unskilled rider" thing was discounted fairly soon after, when the rider posted......I don't know about msot people, but my thinking is that anyone jumping on a turbo Busa probably knows how to ride fairly well

Those are some seriously sic 'street' cars. Yea the .25whp/lb or 4 lb/whp seems like a good rule of thumb. Ran a couple #s

Comparing lb/rwhp (peak) of few rides:

Vehicle LB/HP
Turbo Busa- 250 rwhp, 540 lbs (est.) + 190 lb rider 2.92
TT Viper - 930 rwhp, 3500 lbs + 190 lb driver 3.97
Busa - 158 rwhp, 474lbs dry + 30 lb fluids+ 190 lb rider 4.39
S/C Z06 - 725rwhp, 3150 lbs + 190 lb driver 4.61
KB Cobra - 620rwhp, 3650 lbs +190 lb driver 6.14

IMO the Turbo Busa should have done better even considering the sail on top. Respectfully though, I'm sure its not easy to maximize power to the ground on a beast like that.

the Turbo busa had an extended swing arm, so that should help out.......what isn't taken into account is the viper's 1100 rwtq ;)

1100 rwtq- God I love America. Then again Turbo Busas aren't exactly hurting in the torque department either. 8500 rpm and full spool= :pepper:

yeah, my common sense does say the busa should've walked him....who knows, by all accounts it was a pretty fair race.....seeing the bus lengths that viper put on a stock gsxr1k w/ pipe makes it slightly more believable I guess

The guy on the bike he's gonna be racing, his name is Aaron Pepkowski and I got the bike WRONG. But don't worry it a SMALLER engine displacment. But yet it is still a Suzuki I guess. And as far as mod's go (F. It) your buddy sounds so damn confident why doesn't he want to challenge an FA-18 Hornet *OCKY @SS.

You friends' putting up a lot of Dough/Car and he WILL lose. And Mod's/Scmod's HE HAS A "TWIN TURBO VIPER" remember so what's a couple of mods on a modded out 1450cc (Bored Out) Suzuki GSX-R 1000 with a "Busa" engine.

Here a pic. of the guy that's gonna smoke AND take the title to his Viper. And WHEN we WIN we figured we just WRECK it RIGHT in front of him. And part it out. :)

there truly is nothing in this world that will make you look like a bigger douchebag than talking shit and trying to set up a race between two vehicles, neither of which you own. You're gonna need 190-200rwhp on a well driven bike to beat gary's SRT viper from a roll in a best case scenario, especially if you take it above 150.... from what most have seen......

Just my opinion man, and just a note when you 'dii my ride you are dissing almost everyone on this site. Hence SVTPerfomance, and not ViperPerformace. I do KNOW one thing though I didn't have to pay 80k for my ride.

DAMN! Take a Valium! And calling me a "F@G" does NOTHING to me. It just makes YOU look disrespectful AND ignorant. Secondly, "you wish me in the hospital, permanantly".

SEEK mental help immediatly, for real man! If a stranger that types you a message can get you THAT angry you NEED some help!

And I'm such a BIKE lover that that's why I don't post ONE picture of my bike on my page. And I'm in a Fantasy Land? It's the truth? Dollar for dollar a bike will beat ANY (Well, 98.99%) of the car's (If not ALL) the cars that you put against it.

P.S. I live on the SouthWest side of Chicago and I'm supposed to be afraid of you? You live in Maryland bro, how many gang's, drive-by's have you seen. Has you ever held a friends hane after being shot NOT knowing wheater he's going to die or not? I'm 27 years and STILL ticking, when my time comes GOD will take it NOT you.

I'm drunk at the moment so excuse me for snapping  .... I got upset because you told me to stay out from something I don't know about... How do you know I don't know? Secondly telling me in bold letters to STAY OUT pissed me off. Who wouldn't be pissed. The whole hospital thing was a little raw, so I'm sorry.... I don't want you to fear me my friend... I'm just letting off steam..Last of all I am from a small island in hawaii and I am white ( getting to the point )... Imagine racism backwards where brown skin rules and you get your ass beat every day or someone hits you from the side without you knowing just cause you looked at them for a second too long. I grew up fighting big a$$ samoans and hawaiians who hate white skin every day till I left and joined the army. I have NO fear of any man ( maybe thats why I've had my a$$ beat so many times HAHAHA... As far as "Maryland" goes you need to do your homework on Baltimore and the places that the city or state police stay out of cause they are afraid.... Enjoy the videos??

Whoa, slow down ppl. You might want to definitely do some more homework before jumping on a bet like this before you get taken for a good chunk of change.

First of all, if it is a V-max, and as long as its STOCK, you had better make sure your car has low 11 second capabilility. You WILL NOT beat a V-Max to 60 mph unless you can drive and know that you could turn 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds on your DR's or slicks. These bikes run to 60 in right around 3 seconds with an excellent driver, probably a good 4-6 tenths slower by a more average rider. These bikes have torque. Its not hard to make them go fast. High 10's in the quarter @ 125+

Now, if its another bike, such as a Honda, then you are going to have more of a chance at winning. Just remember though, even if your car and his bike had EQUAL power to weight ratios, his bike is going to come off the line quicker due to the fact that he will have better gearing and mainly because he has a overall less total weight. A 100 hp car that weighs 1,000 lbs will out accelerate a 1000 hp car that weighs 10,000 from a dead stop to @ 60 mph, with torque and gearing being equal.

Personally, unless I had a dyno sheet of this guys bike, and I had the knowledge of his riding ablility, I wouldnt mess with his bike, no matter how fast you think you are.

If you beat him 0-60 you could beat him to the end of the quarter.

The only way a bike would not beat a car in the 1/8 but beat him in the quarter is if that guy on the bike sucks and he couldnt launch it worth a damn. New liter bikes run 6.30's @ 115+ in the 1/8 and like the guy above said have the capability to run 9.70's at very close to 150. ZX-10R, the GSX-R1000, and the R1 in that order pretty much run about those times.

Most bikes, even the cruisers and non-sportbike looking bikes, are all capable of running very high 3's to low 4's to 60 mph with a good rider. I had a 00' CR500 dirtbike that went from a stop to 90% of 5th gear in about 7 seconds. That would have been just less than an 1/8 mile. It had about 60 hp and with me on it weighed about 375. I had a modified 02' R1 that made 143 rwhp, I timed many 3rd gear roll-ons from 70-140 and none of them were over 7 seconds. Bikes are fun, but they suck because its just too easy to have one of those bad days.

Race the bike, but I wouldnt do it for more than a grand, considering that probably isnt much for you since you are talking pink slips here.

I couldn't of said it BETTER myself, also what do you call a just pain ol' normal dodge viper. A caravan with a V10. Then ADD twin turbo's (Which ARE mod's) hence that's this guy paid 80k for and aerodynamics. This IS A RACE car and if you're NOT going to RACE the BIKE I HAVE said than FORGET it! ALSO you sound KINDA crazy talking about people Dying/Crashing. I'll PAY for OUR spot on the track. But I sure AS HELL ain't going over there where you have things changed EVERY second! (ie. This Post was called Bike Vs. Car) NOT modded bike vs. NOT modded car.

And again ANYONE that even MENTION the word DEATH in a race! NO THANKS! Call my fiend and I losers if you want, but bring your SMART ASS down here. WHY? Because I don't NEED ANY V/P'er buddies around me. I already read just SOME of the posts about me at, ViperValley.Com.

Better alive than dead! If I SAY YOU'RE the WINNER you ARE THE BEST will that mak you feel better! If your buddy was 1/4 behind I HAVE NO DOUBT that he MIGHT "accidentally" hit Aaron.
