Just got my Bendpak XPR-9 installed the other day. Got it all unloaded and into the garage about 2 months ago. I didn't have a hoist so a friend and I used a jack on the heavier end of the posts and one of us lifted the other end and rolled it into the garage. I'm impressed so for with the customer service at Bendpak as well as the first impression of the construction. This thing is pretty solid. I had to order the lift with the dreaded baseplate, but none of the other lifts would fit under my 10' ceilings.
Then I had a little set back. When the installers came, the post that mounted near the wall went up fine. However the post that was to mount in the middle of the floor was supposed to have 4" of concrete under it. Come to find out it only has 3 1/2". Now gotta rip up a 4'x4' square and make it a little deeper then repour some concrete.
Then I finally waited for the new concrete to cure and got a couple coats of epoxy down before the lift installation was completed. I got a different kind of epoxy to try on the floor and the color didn't quite match. Oh well. Here are some pics and it is awesome to be able to walk under the car with it in the air and not have to crawl around underneath. Took me only 90 minutes to pull a transmission, clutch, starter, exhaust, flywheel, bell housing, and rear main seal. I am about 6' tall and my ceilings are 10' and I can almost stand upright when I get the car up as high as I can. Standing in the transmission tunnel, I can stand fully upright. As you can see in the one picture, the bottom of the front bumper is about 71" in the air and the roof of the car is just below the ceiling. I'll try to get some video at some point in time. I have to finish my 93' Mustang GT project first.
