My car came with the aluminized Bassani CB instead of the SS version. Is it worth it trying to polish it or am I wasting my time?

Last pic... (LEFT) end results after wet-sand brillo (green) pad and "Bar Keepers Friend", 400,600,800,1000,1500 with and w/o water, polished w/MOTHER ALUMINUM POLISH (by hand)...
(RIGHT) all steps...NO POLISH...

04sleeper and I did my magnaflow and I did my friends Borla. Started wetsanding with 100grit working way up to 2000. Then polish with mothers mag and alum polish using a cotten buffing wheel on a drill to get mirror finish

sanding your last steps or above 1000 did u use water or w/o water all the way to your very last sanding finish to 2000??? ... Mine came out NICE! but yours is absolute CHROME finish!

More to come when installed on the car... Car went to a local shop for the clutch and 26 spline upgrade/assemb. and coming out with the black/chrome FR500's... Gonna feel like a NEW car to me!!! YAY! New Look wit the wheels, shiney exhaust, re-painted brakes, painted rotor hats and NEW clutch!

Mine where really pitted and banged up... Prolly a old system, couple yrs. and never polished or maintained... Not so smooth as the rest of you guys pics... But IMO still came out GREAT!

would you guys not recommend doing this to a Daily Driver? Im planing on buying an 03/04 soon and will be DD it but probably not driving it in bad weather, maybe the occasional rain

if its a bad idea or not... I did it... Mine is a DD... and here in Fl... It rains alot during the season... Every once in a while I figure I'll lift the rear up on driving stands and go over it with one or two the the following 1000/15000/2000 and polish... Just as maintance to its finish....

It's the best because dirt can no longer adhere to the surface now that it is not as rough. I can simply power wash mine and it shines like no other now.
