A simple clean up with some abrasive rolls is all that's needed. Just smooth out all the casting flash in the runners:rockon: Do the intake runners with 80 grit and the exhaust with 150 grit. Try to put a really smooth finish in the exhaust runners, but leave the fuel runners a little rough, so the fuel can atomize better;-)
No need for an all-out port job if you don't have cams that are gonna allow the motor to take advantage of the new found flow increase.
The best thing that can be done to the heads is a simple bowl/short turn clean up and a valve job that opens up the very small ID of the valve seats...and the mods that WaffleGT recommended. BTW, I use 60-80 grit on the intake side and 80-120 on the exhaust.
As stated above. The short turn radius on the B-Head is brutal and requires lots of attention. The pocket, SR is where is at. Light clean up of the overal runner (intake).
