I'm planing on doing an eaton swap early this coming year.
anybody know of someone with an Automatic transmission who has done it?

Also any ideas on what the numbers would be?

I currently have a jlt intake and exhaust, before I do the swap I will have added some long tube headers and I'm about to upgrade to 4.10 gears and run bamas 93 race tune

Thanks.

Don't the auto mach's have the non forged crank? Like an aviator motor? They only rev to 5800ish right? I would think that would effect power levels a little and losing some through the auto. Should be a nice project though.

I think you will love it. Machgsxr actually just installed the swap for me. my car made 467 its a 5 speed and no headers and I love it bro. I have personaly been on his car and even tho its an auto it feels like it pulls just as hard as mine if not harder but hes never had it dynod so I dont know what it puts down. I say do it you will love it!

Thanks.

I think my car dynoed really low the first time around. I was having trans issues still and other than the blower my only mod was an o/r x pipe.

Something like 408/380.

I have a complete kit minus the maf and fuel tank. I'll have a fuel tank available shortly though, i just need to drop it from the car.

Im here. If you want to text 210-5nine1-nine167.

That pass at the track was still with transmission issues and untuned for the headers and converter I added after my blower tune.

Found out my trans issues a while later, but the car is pretty much a whole different animal since then.

SVT_SNAKE's car had 14x.xxx miles on it before the swap and now has 150.xxx in the span of about 2 months.

the cast cranks can handle as much RPMs as the forged crank. The reason for the 5800 redline is the stock tq converter and trans "snap ring". Also, the power handling capability of the cast crank will be fine as the stock pistons and rods will give out long before it does.

100% fact. My mach was a factory auto. it now has a viper t-56 and has revved to 7k for years now without issue. In fact, the factory rear end Granaded on the "weak" cast crank. No doubt the forged crank is stronger and ideal, but something else is going to give in the motor before you snap/bend the cast crank.

Just realized this thread is old as shit. Oh well. I'm sure someone will complain.

^^^LOL. i just realized the same haha, i also heard that the eaton swap in a pain in the ass to do and to find all the parts, odds and ends needed you may as well buy an actual blower kit like procharger ect?!?!?!
