I have been working on my car over the winter and decided to tackle the 25.3 cage myself. I was told i couldnt do it by folks that dont know me very well.

The car is getting quite a few changes for this season (should have been testing already but health problems and customer cars havent allowed for the most time on my own)

Background: This car has been 5.20@138 1/8 on the box stock armageddon kit just like customers receive, and 8.18@166 1/4 at 3500 pounds with powerglide and MPS engine.

I am still running stock Boss camshafts and will continue with those this season. The engine will not change this year with exception of a much needed freshen up and new valve springs.

Will also be using the powerglide as well this year, It was one i bought used and made some modifications to last season. Very happy with this setup as its reliable and bulletproof.

I did make a change to a 9" rear differential for piece of mind.

Weight reduction has taken place at any spot i can possibly get weight off and I have added in a DJ safety 10LB cold fire suppresion system along with other safety upgrades. I would like to see car in the 3200LB range with me this year.

I started with the Wolfe CM 10 Point I installed in the car when it was MT82 setup. I purchased Wolfe CM funny car cage kit and some CM tubing and the SFI 25.5 and 25.3 book. I spoke to a few chasis shops and got prices on roll cage from 5000$ to 8000$ and most wanted to cut out my current 10 piont wolfe cage and start over.

The car is far from finished and with customers car coming first I am probably about 2 months out on testing.

Also i am fabbing up my own belt drive fuel pump setup and moving tank to front. This year we will be on E85 still but have plans for M1 next season.

We will be using an AEM for controlling the new Garrett GT4088s this season.

not at my post...
Awesome! I can't wait to see it finished with the new upgrades! I have always been very impressed with your car, especially when it was going mid/lower 9s on an MT82!!!!

Are you going to use an AEM Infinity? Helping a buddy on a TT install pretty soon, looks like we will eventually take his build full retard in the near future and had been considering the infinity for engine mgmt.

I will be using the infinity. I am not using the frp control pack harness. I chose to use a Cj harness and arc panels since it eliminates some things for me, less weight and streamlined wiring.

I am using a stock style suspension with custom brackets upper/lower that I make for instant center adjustment, anti roll bar and viking shocks

Damn.

More impressed with that work you did with the MT82. What rear end gears were you running? I think I heard a 5th shift on that video in your sig.

Did you install the wolfe 10pt and how well did it fit? I think that would be all i would ever need, i will never go faster than 8.50.

Very cool knocking all that out yourself, impressive for sure. This year and next should be interesting with your car, can't wait to see what it does. As always thanks for sharing some of the stuff you learn along the way, has been helpful.

Nice! I'll be adding the Wolfe 10pt with a few extra bars over the winter. He makes some great products. Looks like you did a good job. Hope it certifies free and clear for you.
