If its a new or new used car consider an extended warranty through your insurance company. I got mine through geico for 7 years/100k and i dont have to use a ford dealership for repairs just any shop i prefer as long as they are a geico authorized repair station.

Wow. I didnt know you can do that throught the insurance company.
