As promised in previous posts of similiar type here's the pics. of my authentic Alcantara interior accents. For one, it's not a show car, I just got sick of the plasticky look AND feel of the OEM interior. I wanted to do something diffrent and more subtle then the color match painting and hydro-carbon I've seen. I prefer the tactile difference Alcantara provides which neither paint nor hydro-carbon can accomplish.

I had the A-pillars, top of dash defrost vent, gauge bezel, speaker pods, steering wheel, door cups, door pull cups, bottom door panels, shift knob and boot, E-brake handle and boot, and console lid covered. Yes it's expensive, $100 per cubic yard for the material and ~$100 hr. labor. That means I didn't do it myself and at $100/yd I wasn't going to try it. Not to mention they had to get creative with covering the bezel and door cups. As you can see below the door cups were made shallower. Alcantara is not very pliable and will not cover any overly convex nor concave parts. They had to cut the gauge pods off the bezel, cover them separtly, then epoxy back together!

A local company did all the parts other than the steering wheel, E-brake handle and boot, and shifter and boot. Dallas Custom Steering Wheel did said parts and I highly recommend their services. Their customer service goes unmatched. I sent the shifter bezel as well as the entire center console to DCSW and they took care of the plastic welding of the boots back into the parts. I also had to sacrafice a seat skin to do the steering wheel. Be sure to notice the purple stitching I opted for to tie in with the Mystichrome seat leather, which predominetely shows as purple. I had a small blister on the wheel appear about 1 week after I got it back. Don sent me a loaner wheel so I wouldn't have down time, repaired his work in a timely manner, and sent it back fast and all free of charge, I didn't even pay shipping! Their business card is below and again their service is second to none!

Enjoy the pics. as far as I know it's the only Terminator with Alcantara appointments.

The nicest interior I have ever seen on any 99-04 mustang. Looks stunning, I wish I could do this to mine.

Awesome work, looks very clean. If it were my car I would have avoided the steering wheel and shifter but the rest is spot on IMO. Little more difficult with interior cleaning now I bet.

If I didn't have the donor seat skin I wouldn't have done the wheel as I wanted to keep the Mystichrome accents. I'm glad I did the tactile feel is amazing, big upgrade over the leather feel. As far as cleaning I got a billard under rail brush to get the loose dirt out. Believe it or not if anything gets spilled on it all you do is saturate and lift away with a sponge etc. True Alcantara is very resiliant to wear, UV, staining, etc., although I'm now using a very tight fitting windshield sun visor when parking in sunlight.

Mustang Parts & Performance - UPR Products Not sure if they still have them or not, I got it back in 2007 when I purchased the car. I have a similiar piece for the big cup holder I removed for the below................

Can you get a better pic of the large cup holder and explain what or how you did the cobra inside. Looks good

Consealed N20 arm and purge switches along with the bottle pressure gauge. That's not my actual gauge, I'm using digital digit readout as I feel it's easier at a glance.

Did you have a option to go with a finer version of the material? Seems like it's thicker then what you find in the cobra and more like what you find in the gallardo or is it the pictures?

I know what you mean, the pics with the blue background really show the pile. It's definitely not like that in person but rather much flatter. Remember the standard Cobra seats don't use true Alcantara fabric. I know I've seen the accurate name of it somewhere here, just can't remember where.

I'd love to see someone do a standard Cobra wheel matching the seats like the Mystichrome's do. Keep the OE leather, just get a seat skin and use the centers for the color accents. Dallas Custom Steering Wheel can add thumb rests and padding to the wheels to make them thicker too.

Interesting. Good to know for anyone else that may want to re-create the seat textile feel and look in what you did. Looks really good though. Prolly one of those things that looks even better when you can pan your head around it.

Very nice, but from my experience with alcantara, I question the durability of the high wear areas aka the window switch and steering wheel.
