I would think it would have to hurt resale, and could effect insurance ratings.

I don't really see it hurting resale value. It just might be harder to sell them without the fix.

Which would hurt the resale value. In order to sell it quickly may have to put it on a "airbag" sale.

So from what I've read on the NHTSA it's anywhere from 2017-2019 that these have to be completed. As a consumer I'm not feeling all warm and fuzzy. This can and will sway my next vehicle purchase which I'm due for soon.
