Ya no kidding. They should give you a discount for not having to paint it!

LOL! Yeah, that was one point I picked up on. Ford touting the "more powerful EcoBoost engine". 13hp? o_O But....the GT is a magnificent motoring machine, inside and out. I love this new Heritage version with its updated graphics. Drool!!! Best car that Ford has ever produced. If I could choose any car today, it would be this one. Stunning!

13 HP doesn't seem like anything, especially starting at 647. But, Billy Johnson (Ford racer / development driver) has been quoted that the revised mapping delivers a noticeable improvement, the HP and torque curves below the maximum.

....when they're on a 2020 Ford GT. ;) I'm not impressed with the meager 13hp increase, but man, that's THE car I'd love. Ford did something right.

In other news, Ford just announced that they're planning a Ford GT-E. A smaller cross-over version similar to the Mustang Mach-E. LOL!

How about one made out of steel and aluminum with a V8 for 150k?

I get that and all, but he is a paid employee of Ford, and wouldn't expect anything other than glowing reviews.

Obviously it's not a big deal, just a little humorous to tout such a small power increase on $500K+++ car.

I'd take his Mk II over the street FGT any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

Yeah, I saw that, and that's really the important part. I would have noted the 13hp increase AFTER the info on the revised mapping. To emphasize what's really important. ;)

Agreed, seems silly to tout 13HP. Intercoolers, are more important on this car. Im still OK with only 647hp.

I'm going to go with a gulf style livery for my street GT as well. The all carbon look is cool, but it loses the lines of the car to my eye.

if I were planning to flip the car, I'd get the all carbon version for its exclusivity. But I'm planning to keep it...

Adding 13 hp peak is one thing, but I wonder what the torque and HP increases are at non-peak measurements. Those are what you're going to really notice, typically.

Higher output coil packs. Wonder if regular people can order these to upgrade on eco trucks when a coil goes out?

I like it, but never been a fan of the the faux Carbon Fiber vinyl. Especially on a supercar.
Or is the whole car painted, and they just left the CF in the areas around the #

I believe you'll find that's real, clearcoated CF surrounded by paint.

So the "standard" 2020 GT is $500K and the Liquid Fiber version is $750K.

That is one pricey exterior treatment.
