Seriously contemplating taking my '03 and doing the Hot Rod Power Tour next year with a few friends and their cars also. It ends in Charlotte this year which is really convenient. Anyone else thinking about it? Not trying to take the '13 on a 3,000 mile round trip excursion yet hahaha.

If you've never done the Tour, you really should do it. One of those annual hot rod events that is pure fun. You won't forget the experience. Going with a few friends would make it even better.

Yes, first time going for me.:rockon:

Starts in northern Texas so it is fairly close.

Not terribly familiar with what exactly goes on at these events besides car shows, but a little auto cross and some drag racing should put a little more go into it.

I am definitely not a "wax on/wax off kind of guy", but car shows can be pretty interesting if the right content is there.

Thirty something days and counting!!!

I will be in my '65 Ford Falcon powered by a 5.0 and an AOD.

I can not wait. We have a few cars/customers going from our shop too!

Sounds like fun. A bit far away for me. Plus I'll be in the middle of a move from WA to KS. I do want to do this one day though.

It is the wagon that we put together over the winter.

I did a thread on here bout it.

Here is the car heading off to get the teardrop hood and re-plated bumpers installed.

And a motor shot. I did do a little more detailing too it (red wires, etc.) but I did not take any pics before it went off to get the hood.

This weekend I drove with my wife (she is not going on the Tour) from the Atlanta area to Memphis where my group will be joining the Tour. I earned a few things like there are not a ton f gas stations on that leg. LOL!!!

Putting a new rad, Killer Chiller and a few other touches on my 04 Mystichrome coupe this week.

Looking forward to meeting as many SVTP peeps as possible in person.

I am planning on having a ridiculous amount of fun.
However I am NOT planning on any tickets or arrests, and no booze. But that stuff is no fun anymore anyway.

It will be interesting to see at least some FORDS in a vast sea of Chevys.
