is the competition basically straight pipe?? also what is the difference between the two competition mufflers?

Both competition mufflers are basically the same, one version is an axle-back, the other is a cat-back. They are indeed straight pipes. I think zeroescence has more info on the sound of the competition version.

The amazon price is about the same as the vendors from Magnaflow. I got my mufflers shipped for free though....

Heard Magaflow competition on a 2013 last week at Vegas. Idle and couple K RPM while parked. Seemed quiet for competition!
With stock cam cats and H pipe, these apparently just don't sound like pre-emissions lumpy cammed V8s.

I would have tried the flowmaster but the single tip design is a dropped ball IMO. I wonder if an exhaust shop could fab up the stock tips on that muffler.

Don't forget the Borla exhausts which are currently in prototype development. There is another thread on this forum with all the details.

Hmmm, Looks like flowmaster dropped the ball. Who in their right mind would go to a single time exhaust to stick back there. The quad tips are the best visual upgrade next to the open grill.

Well clearly none of us have had the new kit long enough to say it has rusted or not, but my kit seems to be nice and of great quality.
