At the tip of the filler neck itself where it goes into the tank. There is a tiny cheap spring that if it gets damaged, jammed etc. will not allow gas into the tank. People break them all the time dropping the tank. They let the weight of the gas tank hang on it, or shaking the tank too hard to get it to come off, they break this part of the filler neck.Is that on the end of one of the small hoses that connects to the filler neck ? That has to be what I did….
You can either completely remove the tip part with the spring assembly ( but when you fill up you will spill gas) or replace the entire filler neck.
