Ford took out secured loans using their assets. Lets not troll or turn a good read into a government discussion.

Not here to bash just posting the facts.
As far as the OP this sucks.. He has spent a good deal of time and money on that car..
Ford took no help from the goverment. It was chrysler and gm! It doesnt matter if the guy is your brother your comment was ill advised!

Although Ford did not need money from the $80 billion bailout program, Ford did receive $5.9 billion in government loans in 2009 to retool its manufacturing plants to produce more fuel-efficient cars, and the company lobbied for and benefited from the cash-for-clunkers program — contrary to the ad’s testimonial that Ford is “standing on their own.”

If you end up swapping intakes, instead of a Boss or CJ, maybe you should get a sheet metal. Then at least you have the security of knowing your intake will never blow up

What's the newest update on it OP?

The car is being put back together this week & next week. Motors done, trans is built with exedy 2 clutches & billet intermidate shaft & transbrake had been added. Hoping to be to the track within 2 weeks. We're shooting for a solid 9 @ 155+ When the trans was pulled all of thr clutches & steels were toast so we think it ran 151 & 150 blowing through the trans lol. Should be fun now!
