I did water test when mine did just this...

get it hot at home..I assume just sitting at idle with ac on it will get past 1/2 on guage..

using tuner I watched temp go well over 220 before guage started to move in hot direction...

I used a garden on radiator..as air wasn't enough..

low and behold
..temp would drop to 180ish..

I replaced radiator..I see under 180 with ac on driving..200,210 in traffic.

but see temp fall fast when you do get to move..

100deg here most of the summer

I already replaced the radiator with a brand new fluildyne 3 row one and it made no difference.

does anyone know where the Engine Cooling Fan Resistor is located on an 2003 Cobra so I can check it?

I’m pretty sure we wired up my mark 8 fan to be high speed any time it’s on.

The heat exchanger for the intercooler ingood shape? If it’s all mashed up and blocked up it’ll hurt flow.

You can always get one of those coolant testers to rule out a head gasket issue

yes I did see that..but do the test anyway..

a basic compression test also..

I have had cracks in head 2 times causing overheating, found by basic compression test as low compression 140psi, machine shop found crack with there test..

How do you wire it up to be on all the time?
I have a new fluiddyne heart exchange but it seems like it is always getting air bubbles and I having to prime manually to get it to work.
