So should I order some 1/4" or 3/8" spacers then for the GT?

You're asking for trouble with a 3/8 spacer unless you're planning on putting in longer wheel studs (which is a pain in the ass).

DON'T buy the kit with a 3/8 spacer and extended lug nuts or you'll be replacing sheared studs (trust me, I ended up replacing 3 of them).

After screwing around with all that I ended up installing the Maximum Motorsports IRS bolts (it's easy) and a 1/8th spacer.

If you want to look at more than just pictures here's an autocross video of my black vert with deep dish chromes from last summer

go with the 1/4" ones for now since they will sit differently on the SRA. You'll be fine with the wheel studs....

How do you think the Machined would look on black?

They will look fantastic IMO

Wheel studs are not a PITA at all  The spokes/wheel center on the revised DD cobra's are not thick. Unless you are launching the car hard on sticky tires, you will have no issues using the stock studs with a 3/8" spacer. Tons of guys on here run 3/8" spacers on stock studs with zero issues. With any wide wheel/big tire combo on an IRS car, low profile IRS subframe bolts are always good insurance, but not always necessary.

That issue is still there. If you try to mount the rears with no spacer, the tire will more than likely rub and the center cap will not seat and lock in. Unless you're running a small tire, you won't be able to get away with no spacer. You will need atleast a 1/4" spacer minimum. I suggest a 3/8" spacer since it seems like that will suffice best

are you talking about just on his GT? or would my 04 Cobra need spacers too? I'll be running a 315/35/17 Nitto 555R.

For a mustang with solid axle you should not need any spacers at all. When american muscle made these wheels the offsets where designed around a solid axle car not a IRS that's why all the cobra guys are still running spacers on there replica wheels. aFS rims are the only replicas I have seen that don't need spacers for best fitment. My 2 cents

You would need a spacer. Like Nick said with his 03 Cobra and IRS, and a 315 Nitto Tire, he runs a 3/8 spacer and it works fine. I'd recommend getting a 3/8 spacer.

You need spacers. As stated, the wheels were designed with the offset for a SRA therefore they will rub when mounted on an IRS with no spacer

Well since this was brought up again, I got the wheels ordered last Monday and well I've been checking up for emails and stuff and finally I called them today asking about my order status and well they still haven't gotten them out yet. They originally told me 2-3 business days they'd be shipped out and its been about 6 and there just now shipping em I guess. Anyways I'm not complaining or in a rush so I don't mind. Just thought I'd update if anyone was curious if I had them on or not. Should have them by Monday/Tuesday next week hopefully. So stoked!
